After news of Osirus' death spreads across Almos, Galenn and Bindweed scout west to Soren's Coast. They make a few wagers, share political insights, and mull over an uncertain future. Neither Rhete longs for war, hoping that with Osirus gone, the Tundes will scatter to the winds, forgetting all about their northern foes. When they reach their unplanned destination, Galenn and Bindweed are forced to face their shared feelings of guilt and regret.
