For a loooong time I've been wanting to make some Kingdom Hearts fan art. I think this picture turned out much better than I could have ever hoped for, but at first I didn't think I'd ever finish it. It took me many weeks to finish it because I was so intimidated working on it due to the fear of messing it up.I really enjoyed the level of Kingdom Hearts 2 that was in Beast's Castle (the "Beauty and the Beast" level), partly because of the beautiful architecture and was a great place to level up Drive Forms! So that's why I picked this place for the background. It's not too often that I draw backgrounds, I prefer just doing character art but it's about time I get out of my comfort zone.
I used Prismacolor pencils for the color and a black Prismacolor black marker for the outlining.
I hope everyone likes my picture of Sora! This is my first attempt at ever drawing a Kingdom Hearts themed picture.
After working on this I now officially hate stairs and stair rails...

I loved being able to explore beast's castle in that game!!!! ^^ I didn't like how I couldn't go onto the back balcony because it was "locked". I'm a character with a giant magical key that can open anything but I won't unlock this door.... seemed like a really stupid reason to me!!!! >< Anywho great job with the stairs and I really like the colors!!!! ^^

Thank you so much! This was an insanely hard project... I try to do more work with backgrounds now, but it'll be quite a while before I try and do stairs again. I wish you lots of luck on your backgrounds!

Fantastic perspective! It's really interesting. I wouldn't be able to pull that off so well. o_o Beautiful colouring job- I like the balance of the cool colours in the background versus the warmer colours in the outfit and carpet. And speaking of background, it's awesome! This is a really great piece. :]

Wow, wow, wow! What a compliment! Thank you, this picture took such a long time to plan out. It's not often that I do backgrounds but when I do I try to go all out and make it spectacular. Figuring out an interesting perspective was one of the most fun things to do in this picture, although I really hated doing the details on the stair rails...

Thanks, I just started using colored pencils because I just bought a really nice set only a few months ago. I fell in love with Prismacolors! I've been using them quite a bit lately.

I think I'm probably best with using ink. Right now I'm making a funny little Naruto-themed picture using colored markers, I'll have it up as soon as I'm done but I can't say when that'll be... I'm putting a lot of detail into it.

Yep yep, so far it's look pretty cool. I just haven't worked on it much in the last day or so because my black marker just died... I need to go get a new one so I can finish it.
