I don't care how angry you think you are at someone; if you've hurt them, you'd feel guilty. And dammit Alex, don't think you've written Ford so cleverly that we think he's an unfeeling arsehole, I know he still cares about his bro!Argh, Mystery Shack and your peeling wallpaper. I hate backgrounds. But I've been practicing and I think they're getting better.

This is brilliant, and I am sure it's canon. Remember in A Tale of Two Stans when Ford pushes Stanley to grab the book and Stan gets burned and gets his tatoo? Ford panicked people, yes, he did panic over hurting his brother and best friend, apologizing immediately and trying to help him and to make sure he was okay. And he would had done it if Stan hadn't punched back (although I can't blame him, he had a right to be mad).
Honestly, I highly think Stanford forgave his brother already even if he won't admit it. He mentioned that he was only mad at Stanley for risking himself by opening the portal. I think Stanford cares a lot about Stanley, and I am sure that, although he was also hurt, he feel guilty too. I think 30 years would had given Stanford time to think and reallize how Stanley felt being alone on his own without his support, and he clearly feels guilty over harming his brother physically, even if it was an accident. I think Ford is the kind of person that rather than face the emotional challenges, he shields in his work and passions in order to hide and deal with the guilt. I think he is just too ashamed and proud to go over his brother and apologize.Β
Honestly, I can't wait to see the next episode to see these 2 finally making things up.

Ford cleaned up his act after his work caused the Apocalypse and Bill told him he was the cause of it. Scar and Eddy's Brother were villains who were defeated because they were the source of the conflict.

Thank you! I always wanted to know what could be Ford reaction to Stan's tatoo. Because he knows that he caused it, but he never got a chance of seeing it, since Stan punched him, before he could see the tatoo.

It's a natural reaction... When you do someone a physical injury in a friend, caused by you! You feel guilty! Remind in "Finding Nemo", after Dory gets injured by the jellyfish, she gets a scar. Later, when Dory wants to help Marlin crossing the ocean by asking for help, Marlin refuses, but after seeing Dory's scar, he reminded that for doesn't listen her, she got injured, and changes his mind. I bet that Ford would feel like in this comic! If he sees Stan's Tatoo, he would remind when he pushed Stan and he screamed and dismayed by the burnt, and Ford would try to apologize for causing it to Stan.

Agreed, I know Fordsy isn't that way at all. It's all a HUUUGE misunderstanding between two people who rarely spoke. Most likely due to one having no cash and thinking no one cared, and the other being paranoid and wanting to make sure his family and one friend were safe, even if that friend didn't like him anymore after that.

Nope! You're not! I mean they hadn't seen each other in years. Neither would know of the others situation or condition. Stan didn't fully explain his feelings and situation and Ford didn't bother to do the same or to listen to him. This is why communication is important! It's obvious that Stan loves his brother still. Out of everyone he's the only one he took what little money he had to call just to hear his voice.
Ford must've known something about his brother but probably not eough. This man who's bee shoved away by everyone he loves and the one person who actually calls him to be with him, then just ends up shoving him away to his face, even though he doesn't mean it like that! Ford was just trying to keep hom and the world safe, butt to poor Stan it was the final straw AND HE SNAPPED!

Agreed! I've noticed that Stan though needs to learn to reopen himself up. Which he's been doing pretty well with the kids lately. I mean, in the beginning he didn't show them much of it as I'm going to assume he didn't want to get hurt again. He's been left by EVERYONE he's cared about. What makes these kids different? But now he's opening up and I think he favors Mabel more now a little since she's the one who trusted him and put her faith into him. You can see he gets hurt when Dipper says things against him and promotes his brother. Mostly because as he said before, he seen some of himself in Dipper. Well, he probably was seeing a lot of Ford too. So to hav Dipper say it...just makes it feel like Ford is too. Β It's gotta be hard for him to watch Dipper moving to fawn over his brother so much.
That's why I was INCREDIBLY happy to see that Dipper and him were having some bonding time themselves.

Well Ford cares too...it's just Ford is paranoid. He cared enough to try to save his brother and the world from his research. Trying to send them away from the shack. He cared enough to call him to do this because he was still his brother. He cared enough to listen to Stan's request about not trying to involve Dipper in any of the danger....until Stan said it was okay. He even cared enough to try and protect the family with moonstones and unicorn hair, as well as trying to help Dipper block out Bill. Β (Okay those last two are a maybe but still.) ....... SO FAR... It seems like he cares.. just..in a different way. Since he hasn't been around 30 years to show it.
