I'm still not familiar with the Star Trek (pre-2009) lore. How is it obvious that the girl is Romulan instead of Vulcan?...I heard Romulans are supposed to have a special indentation on their foreheads, but you gave her bangs so I can't tell from that. None of the Romulans in the 2009 film had bangs even though several of them had hair, but ALL the Vulcans in that movie had bangs similar to this.

If you don't mind my asking, do know what she is holding? I've unsuccessfully been doing some research on the vulcan senepa and although I haven't been able to find a picture of one, that fits the description. Were you going off something? Any help is much appreciated!
