Summer time circa 1801rt, Karelian soldiers are looking for Shirudan scouts. The Shirudans expected the Karelians to join the war and preparations were made. However, Dai Shogun Ueda Shirudo was not expecting the staggering amount of units Karelia committed into the war.

Waves of Karelian militia, cavalry units and regular forces engaged shirudan forces all across the wide front. They attacked in numbers that often exhausted the supplies of the primary shirudan battle groups that deployed to stem their advance. It was becoming a war of attrition that went beyond Magna's calculations.
