Description
While the Ponderosa sisters were local to Mt. Gwen, VT, the Hartleys moved after college to work at the local zoo.

The two had been feeling lonely in the small town of only 2,000 with a mostly retiring population since the high school had closed in 2018 and most families moved out of town.
The Ponderosas were in a similar place. The three had a close knit group of friends leaving high school, but that group grew smaller and smaller until it blinked out when their last friend Billie moved to Toronto to start a business.

Working at the town's only gas station/convenience store Trenzor, the Ponderosas spent most of their free time binging shows, playing WoW, and taking turns swiping through dating apps.
Although the Hartleys were working one of their joint dream jobs at the zoo, that still only takes 8-10 hours out of the day, and it had gotten to the point where they were going in voluntarily on their off days just to have something else to do.

The twins and the triplets independently arrived upon the same idea at around the same time. Although usually it was the older folks who attended activities like painting, bingo, and pickleball at the community center, the five total conjoined girls were willing to do anything to get themselves out of the house.

The first time the Ponderosas showed up to the art class (the painting of the day was a bowl of cereal with chopsticks and a single kiwi impossibly floating in the middle), they almost gasped when they saw the Hartleys already sitting in the room.
Excitedly whispering between themselves, "I didn't know there were more girls our age", "Have we seen them before?", "Should we sit by them?", the blonde twins smiled over at them and the triplets felt invited to go sit.
After polite introductions led into jokes about their art ("I don't even have hands and I'm better than my sisters"), the girls became quick friends and never stopped.

Almost two years later and the group decided to move in together, saving money and halting any fledgling depression spirals that may have been spinning up. While they still all feel a little grey in small Mt. Gwen, their lives each have a bit more color with each other in it. Like they always joke, "Two hearts are better than one!".
