Wow! You can not imagine how much work and time this took. But I am insanely proud of it!

This is an entry for =SageSinRiddle 's Oceanic jumpers Classic show. [The Italian flag is on the saddle pad by her right leg. If you look closely, it is there. And the number is on Mod's bridle!]

"What a wonderful course for those two Congratulations!" Mare could hear the loud announcer's voice from the prep room, holding onto her steed. "Let's all take a short break before the next rider is up!" A click of a microphone shutting off.

The young woman clutched tighter at Mod's reins; Mod looked at her as if to say, "What's your problem?" Mare's wide eyes and paniced expression must have shown a lot. This was her first international show, it was a big deal for her. Riders from all over the world; Sweeden, Australia, Denmark. Even the United States! So many places, so many riders. Mare continued to tell herself to calm down, it worked a little bit, but as soon as she saw another rider pass by, her worry started all over again.

With all her worrying, Mare didn't notice Morgead walk up to her. "Hey, you alright?" His voice startled Mare from her thoughts and she flinched; luckily, Mod wasn't spooked by her sudden movements. He was such a good horse.

Mare swallowed. "Yeah, just a bit nervous. I'm next, so I really need to calm down." She smiled slightly up at the tall man that she was privledged to call her boyfriend. "Any tips?"

He looked her strait in the eyes. "Calm down."

She nodded and took a few deep breaths, feeling calmer already. "Okay, I'll be good. Alright."

Mod, feeling out of the conversation, shoved mare with his nose, pushing her back a few steps, and nickered. He stepped forward once towards her and pushed his nose into her stomach, like he did when he was younger. Mare smiled at him and patted his soft nose "You'll do good for me, won't you, il mio bravo ragazzo?"

Morgead ran his hand down the stallion's neck. "I'm sure he will. Just don't lose faith in him."

"Alright folks! We're back. Hope you're all settled! Now, our next rider is Mary-Lynn Cavallo and her wonderful steed, Modern Intuition from Italy's East Wood Stables."

It was showtime. Mare put her foot to the stirrup, pulled the reins over Mod's neck and held them as she pulled herself up. She gave Morgead a big salute and fixed her hands on the reins. "Wish me luck!" she called out as she walked Mod out towards the arena.
