Ok..Ive thrashed Jake enough this month..time for an uplifting drawing...
This is one I promised my friend, Sarah (NOT a DA friend..YES..I do have OTHER friends besides YOU ALL!!
) last July..she asked for one of Jake being cleansed by fire....as quoted in the song by Michael W. Smith..."And I will open up my heart, search me in the deepest parts, and I will stand in cleansing fire, by You I'm purified." from his song "Purified"In this interpretation...I see Jake..asking God to purify his heart..and in doing so...God enters him.thru his heart...and his new, cleansed spiritual self is emerging in a baptism by fire..
OOOOOO..just gives me chills hearing that part of the song..

REALLY..cool..My poster is of the ORIGINAL ones back in the 80's and I STILL have my circa 1986 Perceptor action figure.. I wish they had put him in the movies..he sooooooo could have worked with all the science and technology of today. Have you ever seen the cartoon movie version..its reaally good!!

WELL..I do believe I came up with the idea for the hair first..Jake's been around for almost 24 years...
Ive never seen that show..we'll have to check that one out..(Jake hair look was inspired by some anime characters..but not this one)
AND..I wish I could tell you HOW I did it..but to tell you the truth..I wouldnt remember..I just play around til I get the effect I want...It did have alot to do with the dodge tool though..

Lol, that's so interesting. There are so many lighthearted cracks about Trowa's hair, so when I saw it I thought, "hey a fan!" Guess not though. ^_^ I know GW is kinda old too, not sure if it's 24 though. (ah, nope, done in the late 90's, just looked it up.)
It's a great show, a little outdated for "futuristic" terms, but an awesome plot line. It's about 5 young teen guys that get stuck as unlikely world changers and war fighters. it kinda ends suddenly because of lack of funds but the movie helps sums it up. The fandom for it is wacked though. It's either super gay-a-fied or ubber bashing. Honestly, the series didn't need such things, because it really kills it for some people. In the end it's still interesting and if you're paying attention to the plot you get sucked in. It never got the credit it deserved.
I totally understand about the hair though, it happens a lot with me too. ^_^ I'd love to hear more about the character and the story behind him.
