That is a bad thing. As that means the snakes will take over the body withering Modest into nothing even faster. Remember her mother

Maybe, on Earth, the changes as Modest matures need not be so radical.

As Jake noted earlier this season, she just kind of inexplicably learns stuff. She taught herself how to read in just a few weeks Β by playing video games and looking at comic. So she's smart in some ways, or at least capable.

That sounds similar (but not identical) to people with Asperger Syndrome.Β They're usually highly intelligent and book-smart, but have incredible difficulty learning social skills.

I don't think that's what's going on with modest. I think her "issue" is that she's was raised in a cave by a giant snake from a magical land, and just doesn't have teh same context for our day to day life and social interactions that other 6 years olds have. She also has a short attention span for stuff that doesn't interest her. She learns fast (magically fast even), but only stuff she actually cares about.
