UPDATE: I put up some pictures of my progress while building.So, I made my own mau5head following the famous Robert Darwin tutorial (here: [link] )... given the fact it's my first real craft of anything at all, I'm quite happy with the result.
I might add that the eyes light up with 6x LEDs for each eye.
And yes, I did suit up for the occasion, with the same 8-bit tie Joel has.
In France, we have "Mardi Gras", and in schools, we usually put on a costume that day... I went with my mau5head (Thursday, March 15th 2011), and people loved it. Very nice of them, people I didn't know wanted to take pics with me, haha.
Thanks to my family for their help and support thoughout this project!
PS: Yes, you can slightly see my creepy look through the mouth.

Awesome design! Deadmau5 actually just announced a contest for fans to re-design a new mau5head for him -- the head gets manufactured so deadmau5 can wear it to his show! Plus, you can get lots of VIP benefits to his LA show in August (free flight+hotel with a friend)

pff, me neither. mine got busted up and i need some $$ to fix it. deadmau5 is gonna come here to perform at a music festival, and in spite of the warnings, i'm gonna wear my mau5head at his performance - can't wait!!!1 it's gonna be even more epic!

Aw... yeah, just be careful and avoid the pit... or stay at the absolute front. I know my head is very fagile due to the sphere's material and "surgery", and it wouldn't survive a gig (and with the heat, I probably wouldn't either ^^), and given the rythm of Joel's music... it's a a bit risky. But then again, wearing a mau5head at a deadmau5 gig is just, liek, the awsum.

i'm guessing, this is the best chance i have - i'm imagining that people will take their pictures w/ me, and that i'll be in the papers! that would be beyond EPIC!
But yeah, the pit is my primary concern

I've heard Joel signs mau5heads after concerts... you might get to meet him - that's the most epic I can think of.
