Description This image is inspired by an old, overgrown gate I saw in a small, abandoned garden in Venice, Italy back in 2010.
The wonderful gate seemed like an entry into a mystical fantasy universe, so I photographed it, to remember it for later.
So this is the resulting painting, based on the photo with a few personal tweaks. (For instance the weather was quite grey and uninteresting that day)

Wow... those footprints really add a lot to the mystical air of the picture. I wonder who they belong to...?

Gorgeous! I like the soft, blurriness which gives the picture a rather ethereal and dreamy quality. It makes me feel as though I am walking through a peaceful but mysterious dream.

Thank you! Well, I used some of the basic psd brushes, but played around with the settings for scattering, shape dynamics and texture.
