Description I am going to ask you all two questions: What should I call this piece? and Should I color in the characters? I rather like it the way it is, however at the same time, it feels kind of unfinished still.

A mermaid saves a Colonial *boy* (yes, he's a boy... they did have long hair back then) sailor, and gives him a kiss before taking him finally to shore. Or something... Or maybe he's dead and she's just a Necrofiliac (spelling? I must have butchered that word) or something. o,o

Ballpoint pen, Micron ink pen, colored Sharpies, and milky gel pens. Untouched by any computer program, though the colors were dulled a bit by my scanner.

Ooooo! I do love this like it is!

But... if you want to experiment with coloring it.. I'd like to see and orangish-yellowish type of "glow" if you know what I mean. Like they're shining and life-giving.

Oooooooooo! *does the green alien men toy effect from Toy Story* I luff it! I have no problem with what you've done with this piece however.... It looks like the picture has been cut off on the bottom.

You can always trace(or copy) the drawing and do it in colored version. *shurgs* I do that sometime.

He looks alive to me because his arm seems to be the motion of... about to... touch her or sumthing liek that. I love the water effect, the hair, the position.. Its just so awesome!

I think it looks good like this, but if you were to color it, I would suggest doing an orange mono-chrome to create the most contrast. That would be pretty. Awesome piece by the way!

Oh, it's lovely Jammers! I think you should try a colour version, but keep this one too. I'd be interested in seeing what could be done. Maybe just doing a blue wash/tint on the characters to make them feel like more a part of the environment of being underwater. Either way, it's wonderful! Ya wench.

It looks really cool but if you colored them it would look even better! I think They "stick out" of the background too much if you know what I mean.

If you don't want to color the original you can do it on the computer so that if you don't like it just don't save.

Ooooh, leave it uncolored, because it puts a good focus on the characters as well as pushes a unique style, call it "last breath before departure" and make it the story of a boy who is drowning but is rescued by a mermaid who gives him a breath of air before returning him to the surface.

Or something like that.

Lookin' good.

Thank you for the beautiful title, and for the advice. ^__^ I think I should leave them too... But part of me really wants to see what they'd look like colored.

It's come a long way since being a quick sketch on the back of a homework sheet, hasn't it? ^__^ *feels a rare moment of pride* I don't usually like my own work.

Well, thanks again! It's an awesome title.
