Description Ok your asking why the colour blue? The reason is that the Liberator was orbiting on the dark side of a planet and the blue is the colour of the atmosphere reflecting from the ships gleaming hull.

Hawt! I'm guessing the Minbari helped with the design?

In a way they were an inspiration, the Eldar from WH40K were another. I think the only way to effectively redo the Liberator is to go organic as nothing in sci-fi says superior race more than big sleek spaceships. There is steampunk and gothic Liberators on the net, both are interesting takes on a classic design. I knew I should have toned the ship using greys but blue was more realistic for a white coloured ship orbiting on the dark side of a planet. Ron Thornton who designed all the ships for Babylon 5 started out in the industry building models for Blake's 7 so I guess in a way this is a decent tribute to a great designer. The White Star and Cylon Baseship are two of my favourite ships which reminds me I have a resin model of a White Star that I've had for years and have yet to build.
