Description Through the Eldritch Gate - concept

Heading off the path [link] a clearing awaits. A rock bordered pool of an ever-changing colour lies ahead. Here is where the rift between two worlds occurs, and where the strangest of worlds can intertwine with ours. Answer the call, and you pass through the Eldritch Gate [link] .

About the size of a large post-it note.

Took about 40 minutes to complete.

Done using .05mm, .2mm & .5mm black pigment ink.

Comments appreciated.

cool! I could also imagine this scene where there is a crazy scary monster with huge teeth towering above the very serene nonchalant child.

Wow, I don't even know what to say. I just love the feeling I get when I look at this. There's just something with the technique you used, and of course the subject matter instantly draws me...
I just can't wait to see more from this series! great work!

Thanks so much for the comment! I think my style is 'goreyesque' and 'charles addamsy' with a hint of 'maurice sendak' so if any of those appeal, perhaps my work will . I do a lot of drawings like this when I'm bored at uni so they shall be pouring in.

Ahh, makes so much sense. I've had an inexplicable love for Sendak since I was little. My favorite book back then was the "Midnight Kitchen." Which is such a weird story when I think about it now.

I'm glad to know there'll be more!
