Description Located in downtown Toronto along Spadina Avenue, this hotel was one of the oldest continuously operational hotels in the city.  Built in 1900 and at only four stories tall, it certainly did not stand out from the crowd amongst other more well known hotels such as The King Edward or The Royal York Hotel.  It was operational for 117 years before closing in 2017, then finally being demolished in August of this year to make way for a new 20 storey rental tower to be built in its place.  The new tower will be named 'The Waverley' in remembrance of the building that once stood in its place.

Hotel Waverly, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
