Description Longhoughton, Northumberland
I thought i'd try and do a sunrise before work, won't be doing that again, a 4am start isn't the best thing for a day of concentration!

I had another shot planned for this location but the tide was too high, another time!

Been really busy lately Went back to work full time recently after 11 years being part time. So, not quite as much free time to spend with my camera. I'm adjusting though
How's the new camera? Not that I need to ask - your photos are superb!

I bet thats been a bit of a shock after 11 years, what do you do for a living?
The new camera is fantastic, really enjoying using it but i think its the time i spend wandering about that actually pays off, its so easy to stumble across some great locations while out wandering in our local area!

I work for the Prison Service (in an admin capacity). It has been a bit of a shock, you're right. It all comes down to organisation, organisation, organisation!!!

I was looking to get the 50D but I've decided to save up and get the one you've got. It may take a while, but that's the plan, so any new lenses I buy from now on will have to fit the MKII as well as my 350D.

I know what you mean about wandering about - it's the only way and it's so exciting when you happen upon a wonderful location (like you obviously did with this place).

So, you just keep wandering and keep posting your wonderful work

I've been meaning to post a comment on this James but clean forgot!
An excellent capture by the way, just gotta love the long exposure effect on water, and it was quiet a stormy sea around then.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this was taken on the 16th May as I was also up and about for the dawn ( couldn't sleep so thought I would get some fresh air! )and went up to Hawick Scar where I captured a sky identical to this one!I will have to post a shot up sometime, although they didn't impress me as I had a lot of problems with the spray that morning.

All the best

Iain.

Thanks Iain, it was actually taken a few days before on the 14th (thursday), i thought i'd see if i could do a sunrise before work but I was tired all day so won't be doing that again it was a fairly rough morning, i've spent a bit of time on this removing water drops from it!

Can't say i've ever visited Coventry so i'll take your word for it! I head down to South Wales a lot, i'm actually from Barry near Cardiff, but i really want to visit Pistyll Rhaeadr, your shots of it are awesome!
