Back again!
Anyway, if Half Life was ever in third-person view, it would get to that picture.
Also, what he is doing is what I did when I tried to play the original Half Life (I got so freaked out I started hitting everything with the wrench)

I've never played this game, but this picture makes me want to.
I have to say, this is totally freaking awesome, I think I'm gonna geek out.
DUDE! This is cool.
May I ask, what brushes did you use?

jameson9101322 In reply to Sandgoddess-Naomi [2008-08-28 02:55:08 +0000 UTC]
A lot of the natural brushes and the little fan shaped ones (? the ones in the middle that are kind of broken apart) I added a lot of scattering and brush affects to them too

It's funny, when I saw the thumbnail I thought, "wow, that's a departure from her usual style"
I like it, it looks like something you had fun making (what with the quick/rough style) and it's nice to see something a bit different.
And I didn't notice until just now that his glasses are broken.

It amuses me to think that maybe his glasses are like his breaking point... you hurt the glasses, you open a can of MIT theoretical physicist whoopass.

Or perhaps, like Dave of Narbonic, it's the other way around and the glasses break when he does?

We all have that evil little sadist in our heads.
I have had the urge to look like that picture sometimes, but I can never find a reason to do so.
Just getting irked by people I dislike isn't a good reason, getting attacked by aliens is.

(I may or may not play HL2 Deathmatch almost obsessively)
Wondeful work, and an interesting deviation from your norm. Thank you.

It's a first person shooter available for download off of Steam. I don't know how much it costs, though. Someone gifted mine to me.

Well you could still get Steam and download the shooter. I'm pretty sure it didn't come with the Orange Box or anything.

HL2DM is seperate. I don't have either of the HL games, and I can run this just fine. I don't generally PC game either, but I thought a nice online shooter would be a change from my usual.

Actually, if you have an NVIDIA card in your computer, you can get it for free: [link]
Also, I believe that since it's a Source game, you can use that to install other free mods/games based off of the Source engine (the only one I've tried is Zombie Panic) instead of the original Half Life 2.

I dunno about that package, but I just checked and HL2: Deathmatch by itself is $5. Also, if you have a friend with an NVidia card they can log into your steam account, have it check their system, and add the games to your account (one per computer, sadly)

AxelHummerwibble In reply to jameson9101322 [2008-08-28 01:21:57 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, everything on Steam is tied to your account, so if you buy something, or get it for free, or whatever on one computer then log into another computer somewhere else you can download it there as well. Or you can register the game to your account and not download it at all on that computer (you would need to install the Steam client, though)

You know, Gordon DOES kill people, but just the ones that deserve to be killed, so it evens out.
As for the rating, I don't think it needs to be mature.
