How is it modern tech can give us a better version of a giant green rage monster, but can't give us humanoid cats? Both were previously just people in costumes and makeup!

I wish they'd just done the costumes and makeup for the movie with the millions of dollars spent on fancier sets and effects. I find the CGI characters really distracting.

Maybe honestly I think Hollywood just hasn't really fixed cg for animals. Cause the animals in the 'live action' Jungle Book and Lion King stand out like sore thumbs as well as the Rhinos in Black Panther. Also all CGI needs to work on teeth I was okay with how Sonic looked until he opened his mouth. And when I was watching the trailer for the new Halo game the CG was blowing my mind until the dude showed his teeth.

I'm morbidly curious since I remember seeing the original play over a decade and a half ago. If they're making a movie about THAT, then you know Hollywood's run out of ideas.

I've never even seen the musical (though I want to), but at least you made him look better in this drawing than the movie trailer made him look.
