Star Trek Journey to the End #06 - The End Of Our Journey
This story takes place one year after the series "Hope " and two weeks after the story "Hatred and Revenge ".
This series concludes the story of General James Raiders and his crew...
I made four versions of the image for this episode...
First with Captain Ford and the Darkstar class (mixed from Sovereign class, Prometheus class and one ST: Online ship whose name I don't remember).
Second is with exploding Akira, destroyed by Darkstar.
Third is with the Akira crew and fourth with the Akira crew in black and white.
This episode also has two alternate names: "Death in the Stars" and "Redemption"

STORY:
While Jason lured two Starfleet ships in a different direction, Darkstar still pursues Akira. Akira hides in the nebula and the crew is planning a next step. After several hours, they don't think anything to help them escape.
"We knew this day would come. This is the end." says James.
Akira leaves the nebula and stops in front of Darkstar. James contacts Darkstar and says they surrender. Captain Ford will appear on the screen. "Surprised? Do you still remember me? I don't care about your surrender." says Ford, and communication interrupts. "Fire torpedoes!", orders Ford. His officer looks at him like a on madman. Ford repeats his order. "Sir, their shields almost doesn't work. Only one torpedo could destroy their entire ship." says his tactical officer. "I don't care about your excuses! I'm the captain! You will follow my orders!", yells Ford at him. "I'm sorry, sir. I can't". Enraged Ford goes to the tactical station. "No! Stop him!", shout tactical officer. Ford fights with them as they trying to stop him. "Let me go!" Ford gets to the panel and presses the button. Torpedo is fired and flies directly to Akira. The crew of Akira watches in horror as their end is coming. Ling still tries to make an evasive maneuver, but it's too late. Akira is destroyed. "My God!". says the horrified first officer of Darkstar, watching the destruction of Akira. "Take Captain Ford to the cell!", says tactical officer to his security team. As they take Ford away from the bridge, he smiles.
Two days later, the Akira crew has a funeral ceremony. Admiral Chekov, Admiral Janeway, Ambassador Picard, and James's sister with his little son Joshua are present at the ceremony. Even Jason and Chang stand in the back of the hall. The memorial plaques for each Akira officer are revealed. Their crimes are forgiven and they are remembered as war heroes from the Sharaki War. James's sister reveals she was in contact with James all the time. Picard asks her if she knows why James stole Akira and what was so important on the signal. She says that even James didn't know. Only that it was something from his past and it was important. Jason's ship leaves Earth. He and Chang set out on another journey. Son of James and Romana, Joshua, is raised by James's sister.
Before the end is flashback: After the war with Kornedians, James and Princess Ziame talking privately in her office. "I want to assure you that I am not like my father. I don't want a war with the Federation, but for the time being, Kornedians will not become part of the Federation. Not yet.", says the Princess. "I understand. If you'll ever need anything, send this special code. As soon as I receive a signal with your code, I'll come to help you, princess.", says James and give PADD with code to the princess. She smiles and thanks. "Are you sure you do not want to stay with me and become a king?". Ziame asks. James smiles and replies: "Thank you, my lady, but I'm not really the right person for the king".
James comes from the Princess's office and walks out of the main hall.
