On this day in 1937, American comedian George Carlin was born and 8 years later in 1945, Edmund Ward published the 1st book of the Rev. W. V. Awdry's Railway Series, the Three Railway Engines. This collage is dedicated to both George, who narrated the 1st 4 seasons of Thomas and Friends, who played Mr. Conductor in Shining Time Station and Wilbert Awdry and the 1st book starring his characters. I thank these 2 characters for all the happy memories of my youth.
