anime angels mangazine cover 3, I've decided to go traditional on this so i'm sticking to painter..which i never do, i'm quite good at cell style and haven't had much..if any practice with painter 8 which i bought several months back but have never gotten used to. what's worse is my wacom tablet is having issues with windows xp so i'm being forced to color with my mouse 0.o, yes i know, crappy simple background. wanna know what? i'm too lazy, and i'm supposed to keep the background simple anyway for text purposes. so

Advanced Critique... not much to say there, its preety much awesome, maybe the hair shading, the colors you used on the light area, but even so it matches the whole piece, so it looks great. Keep it up!

thank you very much =^^= this was a little different from what i normally do, mainly becaus ei usually paint in adobe, cell style but i wanted something more tranditional looking to go with this because of her outfit etc, i even changed my usual inking technique to match, which i think turned out fairly well. i'm glad you like it.

crappy simple bacground... you know what? i like the crappy simple background. it compliments the shading of the picture. gives it a nice atmosphere too, suggests it's dusk in that little girl's world. If it had been one flat color, it might not have worked as well. gradient was the way to go. lurvely job.

i'm glad you went for the painty coloring style, i cannot imagine how cel-style would have come close to complementing the line art.
then again, it is very possible you are that much more skilled than i when it comes to cel-style :sweat:

thanks =^^= lol. and i am quite good at cell style, actually one of my previous pictures everyone was telling me to do painted, i did cell style and it turned out beautifully. i guess it depends on the picture.

i hate defining fingers, which is probably why i never do. i like them more this way, and it being my personal preference, it stays as is.

Thank you very very much. though i wish the lantern wasn't crooked. but that's what i get for drawing at an angle, fixing the picture orientation, only to find now the lamp, which had been the only thing straight in the first drawing, is now the only thing crooked.

by the way, the writing on the lantern is in ellion, the language of dainos in my manga, it says "tonamai" which means "fly"
