Beautiful ship man!!!!!!!! Β I am new to all this and can find ZERO flaws. Β I want to start building starships and was wondering if you could give me any advice. Β I have a picture in my mind of a ship called the U.S.S. Kirk and a battleship called the U.S.S. Garth. Β How do I start the process of building them out on my computer. Β Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hm, well, the only way to get started is to get started!Β Trial and error was my method.Β Regarding programmes, though, I've typically used AC3D for modeling, though that's really inconsequential.Β It's more a matter of what interface you're most comfortable using.

I love her with Purple!
I would like to see more of that Station in the background if you have any images. It is very interesting.

The station itself was actually just a kitbash of the Immense Class Starbase and just an interim station until I designed something personally.Β I'm sure the mesh of the Immense itself is still floating somewhere online, it's been years since I used it haha.

Haha they were supposed to be blue...
I'm partially colorblind and I thought the textures I made were totally blue, and they almost were. Then I rendered her and overlaid a copy that I'd performed softglow on and they were intensely purple, much to my surprise.

Maybe it could be because the ship is using a different type of warp core/propulsion?

Well, she is slipstream capable, but so is ~madeinjapan1988 's Perception and she still has red bussards. There's no rule that says they must be red, it's just more standard. Mine probably use a different collection system that operates on a different set of hydrogen wavelengths. They hydrogen emission spectrum produces a single red line, but it also produces a light blue, dark blue, and violet line. Maybe that's what the Refitted Excelsior did.

Beautiful!
I wish I could make models like you!

Haha it takes a heck of a lot of time and practice and I'm nowhere near as good as the people who make the models you use.

Thanks, but as I said, I'm not working on the first version anymore lol I had to simplify the model and that's all the more I'm doing for it, and my program isn't registering any 2-vertex surfaces.

But you already downloaded the original model lol I can't do anything to that one because those 2-vertex surfaces you were talking about weren't there for me.
