thanks Wayner. That about sums up a good response to a critique.... I find it funny that some people critique my work for flaws or style when their own work has the same flaws or mistakes in anatomy and the basic concepts of design and color... I do believe everyone is free to critique others work, but I never critique someones work if I am not confident that my own work is correct or more professional.
I have been and Creative Director for the last 15 years and had armies of interns and employees. I have critiqued all their work. Style is style as long as its professional. Citiques should come from those at a level equal or higher than that which is being critiqued if it is to be taken seriously...

I love drawing comic book art, and been doing it for the greater part of my life, but I could never put enough dedication into it, despite it being a deep passion of mine. But having read comic books for so long, nothing makes an artist more prolific than to be able to recognize his/her work from the rest. Jim Lee, John Byrne, George Perez, Michael Turner, Todd McFarlane, all of them easily identifiable, and all of them carrying their own imperfections, which for me, personally, is not even up for questioning, as it is the story telling, the layout, and how each character is portrayed by the artist, that makes a comic book exciting.
If need be, we can all pick apart artwork, but whether if the artist pulls off an exciting and well laid out comic book will ultimately decide its fate to criticism.

Well said, bro! I dig dA, but it seems there are a fair number of haters on here that love to be critical of others' work when their own leaves much to be desired. Your style rocks, Jamie, don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Keep'em coming!

Holy cow!!! That is amazing. You should do the interior of Witchblade and Urszula should color it. That would be at least worth picking up the book.
