So the promo for this week's Thunderbirds episode (Touch and Go) aired last night and there's literally no way I can deny how in love I am with Kayo anymoreI love the idea of Kayo having a dark and brutal side to her - obviously as TAG is a kid's show any weapons and proper violence are a no-go but I don't doubt she'd be a stone-cold killer if she needed to be. This is the first time we've seen Kayo actually having any kind of role in an episode in literally months (I'm not saying I'm bitter about this, but I'm bitter about this) and she's fronting up her own mission in TBS which we've yet to see at all so I have very high hopes for this episode. Please don't ruin this character for me, guys.

actully, you can get away with a medium level of violence, don't forget the original show had guns, drinking and smoking and deaths in it. i think her design and her reinvention from being Tin Tin in the originals is really great and it makes her a very strong modern female heroine, i'm actully hanging out for her figurine which will come on sale towards the end of this year (along with thunderbird shadow) along with the second season of the show to add to my ever growing little collection

Very true but all of those got removed for the remake because the target audience this time round is much younger. I don't mind so much about the drinking/smoking not being shown but it is kind of a shame they can't put in a few darker more hardcore episodes. Still, despite not seeing her all that much I really like what they've done with Kayo so far and I look forward to seeing more (I want to try and get her figurine too)

not just that, tv show guidelines have changed since 1965. these days, unless your show is made in the states, your not allowed to have any action sequences involving guns. (my partner is an ex animator here in Australia and in order to sell a show for most westen countries its still sadly the same as back in 65' that you have to pander to a US market - if I recall all those bits that where deemed inappropriate were removed in the us version in 1965 too as they are the only country that had the shows heavily edited at the time) im not fussed that they are gone, however I do miss the extra danger the rescuses did pose making them a tad more touch and go life or death moments... but you never know, there is two more seasons on the cards coming!
the figures are absolutly stunning, for a toy they are well sculpted so I hope she is worth the wait! my current little set have all had repaints and washes applied and just look simply amazing, the amount of detail on them is really good just needed to be enhanced on them.

They don't even show any comedic violence or even hint towards it... but I guess it's a kids show so they can't have anything that suggests violence, not even off-screen crashes and bangs. It would have been interesting to see him get wrecked and actually be shown why they call her Kayo rather than just the aftermath.

There are strict rules that kid's shows have to adhere to, which is the main reason it's actually pretty tame and there are no guns in sight (only the bad guys ever have weapons of any kind in this show) but yeah it's a shame we won't ever get to see just how lethal Kayo can get (at least on screen)

I've only watched the first couple of second of the promo because I don't want to spoil the episode too much, but that shot when you just see the silhouette of TBS on the ice! I can't xD It just looks so awesome!! I'm seriously seriously excited for this episode!

I'd say the episode delivered on the promises of the promo clip.
Probably the best thing for me about Thunderbird S is how dainty it is, landing on the sides (and undersides) of structures as gracefully as a little butterfly. Doesn't exactly spell intimidation, but I think Kayo is all the intimidation that TBS needs xD

I love the design for TBS, I never realised before how small it was until this episode. But it's beautiful and no doubt deadly - the phrase 'float like a butterfly, sting like a bee' comes to mind!

No worries! It's interesting though, cause all the craft seem small, especially Thunderbird 2. At a glance, I'd even daresay the newer one could fit itself into one of classic TB2's pods.
