2nd place winner of the 2013-2014 Manga Jiman Competition by the Embassy of JapanG O O D G O D THIS KILLED ME
This page probably took me longer to do than half the others put together
It didn't come out quite the way I wanted it to but I'm still pretty happy with it, and I really enjoyed coming up with the designs for all the A&K's regular visitors! They were all invented pretty much as I was drawing them but afterwards they all got assigned a tiny bit of backstory. At the bar, we have: Yan from the previous page, a winged military officer on leave, a polymelic cage fighter celebrating her latest victory, Corinth the reptilian barmaid (was going to be given a speaking role but I didn't have the space, sadly), a curious robot fascinated by human culture and a canine monk who 'borrows' valuable items from rich dickheads and gives the proceeds to the sick and poor. The three at the bottom are my personal favourites, I loved drawing them :> Originally I just bundled together three random designs but I like to imagine them as three friends from different dimensions who once went on adventures together but have since parted ways, and meet up here from time to time. They've all got rough backstories to them, BUT I want to see what you guys come up with! Who do you think they are, what kind of worlds do they come from, and what brought them here in the first place? Tell me your ideas! <3

Aaaah thank you! QuQ I'd never consider drawing half these things myself either, which is partly why I put them all in - this comic was all about trying things I'd never done before, and an awful lot of them ended up on this page xD
