I'll tell ya'll. Tails used to be a good character. He started off as the little guy who wanted to be like his idol, and eventually over time he grew up to be like his idol.WELP
The current writers for the Sonic games apparently do not care about character development. Tails is now a little wuss who can't take care of him self. He's worse than Peach now.

Remember when Tails, despite being scared, psyched himself up to fight the Egg Walker?
Remember when Tails got so fucking pissed at Eggman that he beat the crap out of him in a mech battle after he thought Sonic died?

You know, that seems to make no sense.
You should know that in my Sonic AU where Dr. Eggman (both Modern and Classic) are actually both stuck in limbo after the events of Sonic Generations (with the prequels, spin-off games, and the Sonic Boom franchise not counting whatsoever) and where Dr. Eggman finally returns for Sonic Forces, where his role is different (and he'll team up with Sonic the Hedgehog and also change his alignment for that occurring.), maybe if I can fix that problem, where Dr. Eggman recognizes Chaos as the watery beast comes close to the egg-shaped doc, so here's how it goes.
Dr. Eggman: (Notices Chaos) "Chaos? Oh no, I knew that traitor! He's coming to harm me! I can handle this! But where is Sonic anyway?"

It's like he's a reverse Luigi. At least Luigi was willing to man up multiple times while still being a lovable coward. Tails, he's a complete coward with little to no charm of his Adventure self.
