He had warned her what she might see traipsing in the mirage... pulling on threads of memories, but the longer they walked, the less it seemed like what they were seeing was hers.. For a moment Argent was sort of relieved. She did not want her memories or her thoughts to be pulled from her mind... and then curiosity set in... Watching the back of Ramses as he walked in front of her. His pace was hastened more then usual, perhaps he had caught on to the illusion and felt the same way she did. She wondered what he was thinking. What kind of memories he had... But he was so quiet. All Argent could hear is the sound of wind pushing the silver sand against her boots. The White broken pillars eventually forming what seemed like a part of a building, mostly wall, the ground however was still sand... nothing she could recognize. But as they continued the walls that formed began to crumble and crack... His pace slowed and she heard him sigh, but it was the way he reacted to it had her attention. He seemed sad... and as she noticed the aura about him, it felt like the light that once was bright and calming had gone away... lost in the world they were traveling... Argent began to worry.

Almost everything about him was cloaked in mystery.. but after all that has happened she felt she could trust him... Argent just wished he could open up to her a bit more..

"are you alright?" she asks quietly.

"Just keep moving." He tells her, but she can hear the shaken tone in his voice..which causes her to feel more concerned.
The longer they walk, the more the hallway around them began to crack and break apart. She is still looking at his back, anticipating for him to turn around and look at her to reassure her everything is alright, but he doesn't. Something was wrong. She could sense it.

"Hey-" She reaches out to touch his hand once more "Talk to me please..."

he pulls away

"We cant stay here... the longer we linger, the easier it is to get lost. We must keep moving." he tells her. Trying to push these feelings down but the walls around him begin to crumble some more. It seemed so depressing watching something so beautiful fade and crumble away... Whatever this was... it was getting worse. It felt like he was slipping away, deeper into this mindset. She catches up to him. Rushing into his back wrapping her arms around him as quickly as she could. He is caught off guard and abruptly pulls to a stop.

"Argent-"

"You're hurting" she says into his back. He can feel the slight tremble as her fingers pull against his shirt. "I can feel it...You don't want to talk about your past, that's fine.. but don't shut me out completely.."

His shoulders tense and inhales sharply... All the feelings he had been stewing in for a long while had been bubbling to the surface. He has tried to remain as professional to his position as her guardian and protector, but feeling her tight embrace after so long. The wanting was hard to deny. So long waiting for her, Watching their old world die, turning into dust and ruins around him while he alone lived with his shame... But he could feel her now... She was real... No longer just a haunted memory. He could feel her warmth and strength and kindness, pulling him back from the darkness towards the light once more.

She was here and he had a purpose...

"its okay to be not alright, if you are upset don't hold it in...."
