Description This is the very first type of Royal Navy space ships. The Liverpool-class ironclads fought with Prussian pre-dreadnoughts to achieve domination in the close orbit. Now, in the age of space dreadnoughts and advanced battleships, they serve as a reserve in Royal Navy defences and protect a forgotten British lunar base.

Armament:

-three heavy (10-inch) twin gun turrets
-three flak (3-inch) turrets
-two early torpedo launchers

...

I wanted to show something pre-dreadnought. I've chosen an ironclad gunship, because it looks quite interesting. This drawing took me about one hour.

Used HB mechanical pencil.

Enjoy!

Just in case you do another, the turret are labeled A, B, etc.

What's the difference?

Everything is by far more than fine. But a little suggestion: these two upper turrets could be replaced by a single, solid one, armed with far heavier weapons- I'm not an engineering expert, but it could simplify all the design

Yeah, it would. But then the ship would be very vulnerable to attack from behind of that turret. Smaller weapons in greater quantity are always better than a single BFG.

clear as ice. but then, a good set of guns all round with one BFG on a tactical position...^^ don't mean a 500mm bastard, but a single barrel 400, mixed with two 240's...

Very cool, I like this mix of a futuristic and an old Galleon ship to make this new sci-fi style battleship, a very original idea
I personally like how you have added new modern arms such as the canons and armour plates, but kept the old traditional kind of sail and, if I’m not mistaken, even the engine looks rather old and out of date. Very well done mate, keep up the good work

It's not a galleon, the XIX-century coal-powered ironclads and battleships had masts but they weren't used to support sails. But yes, this is a connection of XIX and XX-century technology with some sci-fi included. When I was drawing the engine I thought about a steam engine chimney, like in Stephenson's Rocket. Thanks for the comment

Ahk, sorry, my mistake, I’m not that knowledgeable when it comes to old ships it is still a pretty cool pic mate, you did a good job on it.
Its my pleasure

I'd say this ship looks way more futuristic than all others you have made yet
Even if it... shouldnt?

It shouldn't indeed. I'm going to do some frigates and cruisers.

Mam dziwne wrażenie, że ten okręt ma zbyt ciężkie uzbrojenie w stosunku do kadłubu, wygląda tak jakby miał zaraz w dół spaść Ale i tak fajny projekt

Yes! We have our own space navy! I have the same concept of thought in my fan-fiction about us having a space navy, however we have dimension technology with it.
Still, that's impressive

Space ships in the future is a plain idea, space ships in the past - woohoo, that's something interesting (that's how do think). Thanks for commenting.

Mine is set in the present age, iron clad space ships, that is an interestign idea, and of course back then we commanded the finest navy in the world. Not too sound cocky or arrogant, but I am particurally patriotic to England.
