These four Twilights come from AUs where Equestria is a different landscape than we know it as.

Twilight Sparkle - Swamp Equestria AU: This Twilight comes from a version of Equestria where the majority of the land is a jungle, and there are multiple tribes that act like the cities and towns in the Canon Equestria. Celestia and Luna do exist, but they are not alicorns, in fact, alicorns do not exist in the same matter as other Equestria AUs; Celestia and Luna are unicorns that rule over their tribe with pride, though they fight over who owns what. The general thing to note about the ponies, including Twilight, in this AU, is that they are.....not that smart. In fact, they sometimes use their names in place of "I" or "me" and they usually do stupid things all for the sake of curiosity. So the Twilight Sparkle in this AU is not as intelligent as other AU versions of Twi (in fact, this describes Swamp Twi in a nutshell: youtu.be/4oX0WjibvtA?t=15s ) but she still gets a cutie mark related to fireflies! She's also friends with Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, who all have very different talents that counteract with the usual talents we're used to for the Mane 5.

Twilight Sparkle - Arctic Equestria AU: This Twilight comes from a version of Equestria where it's a giant arctic land filled with icy mountains and tundras, and Ponies have more fur to keep themselves warm. Alicorns do exist, but they are called "The Children of The Aurora", because the ponies in this AU believe that alicorns are descendants of the Aurora Borealis. Celestia and Luna are part of "The Children of The Aurora" and they have the power to raise the sun and moon, because of this they were praised as gods, but like other Equestria AUs, Luna was over shadowed by her sister, but unlike others, instead of turning to Nightmare Moon, she goes on her own journey to find out why ponies praise her less than her sister. Twilight Sparkle was born an alicorn (unlike most AUs where she turns into an alicorn) and thus, she was called a Child of Aurora, but she wanted to be like other ponies, so she hides the fact she's an alicorn and befriends Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy. But Twilight heard from Celestia that Luna disappeared into the frosty night and never came back for 1,000 years, wondering if they could find Luna, Twilight teams up with her friends to go on a long journey to find her. After a long time, they find Luna sitting on the highest peak of the arctic mountains, staring into the Aurora Borealis. They try to bring her back but she refused, believing that her nights cause pain to ponies and doesn't deserve to live with them. So Twilight tries to convince her otherwise by revealing herself as an alicorn, shocked, Luna asks Twilight why would she hide the fact she's an alicorn, Twilight tells her that the reason is because she doesn't want the godly praise she and Celestia have, but rather just wants to be loved like other ponies and she feels Luna wants the same. Luna, feeling heartbroken leaving Celestia, she comes with Twilight and her friends back to the village and reunite with her sister.

Twilight Sparkle - Advanced Equestria AU: This Twilight comes from a version of Equestria where it's much more advanced and almost seems futuristic. Ponies used to live in the land of Equestria, but after a catastrophic event, ponies were forced to move out of the planet (at that time, they had spacecraft) so now ponies live in space, living in a large spacecraft that houses "New Equestria" that's just as large as the old Equestria. At that time, Celestia was in charge of keeping balance but she still deeply misses her sister (Luna was banished to the moon 1,000 years prior to the event) and she hopes that now they're in space, she would find a way to get her back. Twilight Sparkle, Celestia's personal assistant, was sent to the Ponyvile Sector for a Summer Sun Celebration, as she meets Applejack, a harvester, Rainbow Dash, a competitive flyer, Rarity, rising fashionista and designer, Fluttershy, Animal Expert, and Pinkie Pie, the queen of parties, during her checking on the preparations. Then suddenly, before the event was about to begin, it was interrupted by Nightmare Moon crashing into the ship. She demands why her subjects are in the cold voids of space instead of on land, Twilight Sparkle tried to explain to Nightmare Moon the reason but she ignored her and said that she will force her subjects to go back to Equestria (which filled everyone with dread.) With determination, Twilight sends herself on a mission to confront Nightmare Moon on the moon, but her new found friends come with her so she won't do it alone. When they did find Nightmare Moon, Twilight tried to talk with her, but this ended up the two fighting with magic, however, with Nightmare Moon being an alicorn, Twilight was overthrown by Nightmare Moon. She was about to give up reasoning with her, but then her friends rush over to see if she was alright, she looked around and saw the concern faces on them, they actually care about her, they actually want to help her, something she rarely saw back at her home sector. Feeling a spark inside her, the six notice that six sparks of light glowed at a part of land on the abandoned Equestria, suddenly, six streams of light came towards them and they were surrounded by six gems. Nightmare Moon recognizes them as the Elements of Harmony and Twilight and her friends use it on Nightmare Moon which created an explosion of colors (that everyone on New Equestria saw) After the light settled, they saw Princess Celestia approach them, shocked that they managed to bring the Elements of Harmony out into space (let alone use them) but Celestia turned her attention to Nightmare Moon who was now Princess Luna, when Luna saw her sister standing before her, she apologies for her actions and begs forgiveness. Now with Celestia and Luna reunited, Twilight decides to live in The Ponyvile Sector with her friends to learn more about friendship. One thing to note about the ponies in this AU, every single pony has hoof braces. Why? Because it protects their hooves from getting their blood veins freezing in space (or at least let ponies survive in space) and the lances on their necks are the Equestrian version of phones/laptops, meaning they can communicate with each other, do work, or sometimes play computer games!

Twilight Sparkle - Volcanic Equestria AU: This Twilight comes from a version of Equestria where the entire land is split into multiple islands and ponies live in tribes. Celestia and Luna are demi-gods of the islands, for they are the Goddess of The Sun and the Goddess of The Moon, and they are both worshiped for their powers. However, there is one tale that involves the demi-gods, that the two sisters have a third sister, called "The Goddess of Friendship" who gave birth to six children and were given and raised by mortal pony families. Twilight Sparkle is the daughter of Night Light and Twilight Velvet, the chiefs of the Orion Tribe, she has a strong desire for adventure and wanting to see the world. Her brother, Shining Armor, didn't want her to go, but her parents allowed her to follow her dreams. So Twilight made a boat and sailed away, along her journey she meets up with five ponies with the same desire, Rarity, who was part of the Geode Tribe, Applejack, part of the Apple Tribe, Pinkie Pie, part of the Mountain Tribe, Rainbow Dash, part of the Storm Tribe, and Fluttershy, part of the Nature Tribe. As they go together, not only did they meet Celestia and Luna, but also learn about the tale of the third sister's children. However, the fierced demi-god of chaos, Discord, emerged from his 1,000 year slumber and threatens the islands, so Celestia gave all of her trust of saving The Equestrian Bay to the six friends, telling them that their necklaces are much more than they seem. Eventually, when they confront Discord, not only did they find out that their necklaces (that have an Element of Harmony gem) have a powerful magic inside them, but also they learn that they are those children born from The Goddess of Friendship. After Discord was sealed into the underworld, Twilight couldn't believe that the friends she met were actually her long lost sisters, and though Celestia and Luna gave them a chance to live as demi-gods, Twilight decides to take her friends and see the world and what it has in store.
