I don't know why, but i like stories about characters living in their own paradise, inspire others to break away from normal life, and hide from the people/community that's against it. And this AU is no exception, though it's simply a personality swap of Lapis Lazuli and Rose Quartz, the outcome of it is so much more than that.

In this AU, Lapis and Rose swap personalities (Meaning Lapis cares for the Earth while Rose doesn't) but how Lapis approaches protecting Earth from Homeworld is much more different than how Rose did it. Instead of fighting back against Homeworld's ways, she creates a peaceful paradise for Gems and tries to convince gems to abandon their ways at Homeworld and live a life they could never do back home. At this point, Homeworld is unaware of Lapis' actions and Earth itself, so at this point Lapis and her fellow gems live a peaceful life.

Lapis has a few escapees that help her build that peaceful future on Earth,

Lapis Lazuli - She is a peaceful gem that wishes no harm on her fellow gems, she loves the Earth for everything it has, even the oceans. She is kind towards everyone she meets and appears as a kind and peaceful mother towards her fellow Gems. She once served Blue Diamond's Court, but she was unhappy of how Homeworld delt with lifeforms other than Gems, so one day she quietly escaped Homeworld and tried to find a planet that Homeworld hasn't touched. Eventually she found Earth and she made it her goal to keep it away from Homeworld and make a paradise for Gems to live in. She is usually the one that brings in Gems to Earth, with assistance from Sapphire, she approaches those gems and tries to convince them that they don't have to live Homeworld's ways and instead live a life where they can make their own decisions. When they do come with her, she makes sure any communication to Homeworld is shut off, out of fear of being founded by the Diamonds, though the other gems do not know about this. Currently, she's in a romantic relationship with Peridot.

Zircon - She acts the voice of reason for Lapis Lazuli, she usually forms plans to further Lapis' ideals for a paradise for Gems. She is smart and has full confidence when presenting her plans, and she is proud that she gets to use her knowledge much more than trials. Zircon met Lapis when she accidentally launched a ship on Homeworld and it blasted her off near Earth, there she saw Lapis approach the ship and try to take her out (since it was flying out of control throughout the entire ride). When she did manage to save Zircon, she thanked her for saving her life, but Zircon didn't knew that she was taken by Lapis in her gem paradise. But ever since then, she's gotten used to Earth and became Lapis' voice of reason.

Sapphire - She is calm but is very curious of her surroundings, she is a big helper for Lapis as she uses her future vision to see what kinds of gems are gonna be near Earth's anthrosphere and how to lure them in their paradise. She was the first gem to be founded by Lapis, as she, and a few Rubies, crashed landed on Earth, Lapis found them and she calmly introduced them to her Gem Paradise. Though the three Rubies acted tough, she and Sapphire bonded quite quickly due to their ties with Blue Diamond, not only that but Sapphire adjusted to Earth very quick, unlike her three Rubies that took time to adjust. She is Lapis' right hand gem, she usually helps her improve their paradise by seeing what kind of gems would be added.

Peridot - She is a smart and focused gem who is always by Lapis' side. Though at this time she follows Lapis and does not much else, she has plans for creating monuments and such to improve the life of the paradise. When Peridot met Lapis, she felt a strange feeling in her heart and this feeling got stronger whenever she was near Lapis. At one point, she confessed her love to Lapis and she accepted her offer. She's in a romantic relationship with Lapis Lazuli.

Aquamarine - Aquamarine is the youngest of Lapis' group, as she joined her paradise much later than other Gems. She is young, energetic, and has high curiosity for anything she sees. Unlike other gems in Lapis' paradise, Aquamarine left Homeworld because she argued with her manager and left in anger, only to stumble across Earth while blindly flying away from Homeworld. Lapis accepted her in and she is always watched by Zircon, to "better" her behavior.
