A new Mortal Kombat trailer came out this week, and when it showed off Kitana screaming in pain and horror as her eyes are gouged out by someone's bare thumbs, I couldn't help but remember the franchise's owners moralizing to us in the past years about the need for female characters to cover up. And while not the developers themselves, there was an infamous event where the showrunners cut off one company for having too much T&A in their game's presentation, stating that it did not represent their "core values." They switched to footage of the new Mortal Kombat 11 and Sonya Blade getting her face ripped off.
