Description Do you remember the monk/fighter with Ellen Redblade? There he is with a full plate dark armor. He was a Blackguard back in time.

Thanx pal! I could if I have some time to it... I'm real busy with a lot of things (work, family, undertaking a business) and almost no time to draw, sorry!
But I'm glad you liked!

Heh, just what I talked about - I like the pencil work, but I can't help imagining it in digital color.

See, everything is well placed and shaded, the armor nicely detailed, but seeing it in pencil only makes me feel there's a lot of potential still in there. You already suggest the light source being behind the character, now an atmospheric sky and darkish sun (as absurd as that sounds, you know what I mean) could only deepen the, uh, majestic feel - for lack of a better word - of the sketch.

Er, regardless. It's an impressive work in its own right, although I think there may be something a tad off with the proportions - arms most prominently seem somewhat thin. Not a hundred percent sure though.

peace

Thanx again friend! The arms looks smaller than it really is. I believed I couldn't make the position of it in a better way... the cloak is covering a part and... er, I don't know but you're right about seems strange! Well, that's one of that drawings you are dyin' to make some digital painting but you'll never come to it 'cause you have a lot of other ideas that you priorize than this old drawing. But I agree that it still rocks in some way. I need to find someone to make some frakin' colors for me...

yeah! monks r best in NWN 2! when i had lvl 20 with ma monk he was 4 or 5 times faster than ma team members. cos i gave him boots of speed and he had natural speed ^^

janusmemory In reply to viliusm [2007-01-17 20:00:44 +0000 UTC]

He has a complicated history. It'll need a book to tell it but in a simple, simple way he raised as a monk, get involved in a war time and learned fighter abillities to survive this different era. He abandoned the way of monk and walked toward an evil way until he became a Blackguard. After some issues he decided to take on a new life and now he's a simple fighter trying to forget his past. But be sure: he WAS a monk.

Not sure what the monk/fighter with Ellen Redblade looked like because I don't know the reference.

But I like the drawing! It looks kinda 'dark samuraiesque' with that armor.

Yes, I agree with you! By the way: enter my gallery and take a look to "couple fighter", "almost ryu " and "amazon" and you'll know how Ellen Redblade and the monk/fighter looks like. This armored warrior is the monk fighter. And thanx for the comment!
