For those who prefer dAv4.
I give you, 'good 'ol dA', a deviantSkin for firefox and opera users.
This skin makes your favourite site look like you favourite site used to look like.

This skin isn't available at the time. I took it down because it was outdated and updating it with dAv6 around the corner doesn't make much sense. Maybe I'll update it to work with dAv6. No promises though

Really cool layout! I tried to put it on and it didn't work, but that's been happening a lot lately. I haven't really gotten the hang of Stylish yet - I only got Firefox 2 days ago.
..And I accidentally pressed the "Request Print" button, so if you get that message, ignore it. xD

Wow, it's depressing that I didn't find this sooner, because I absolutely love it. I miss the old layout so much, so I cannot thank you enough for making it. None of the links work to download the css. I keep getting "Firefox can't find the server at phantasize.be". I want to use this and the dAv4 styled comments.

I've missed the v4. Especially the pretty comments boxes, and the message center. Ah, I'm so grateful.
Here's some issues:
-Although the next/previous deviation buttons appears to be in v5-style, with the light blue colour.
-The user-pages seem to have moved to the left, because of the Wishlist, Shopping account, etc. buttons.(?)

Great skin though.
Any chance you can get journals working properly? Since with CSS customized journals, you get things that go wrong, like visually. Not too sure how to describe it, sorry.
Take a look at my journal, and yours, and a few other peoples' journals. I also noticed it replaced my link colour and adjusted my font sizes.

It's a great skin, nonetheless, but unfortunately at this point, it doesn't work well with custom journal CSS.

You have no idea how happy I am to see this! I've gotten used to using dav5, but it just doesn't have that tight appearance 4 did. Now I've got it back!

This is a fantastic skin, but I have a quick question about it. When I apply it, I can't seem to find the 'update journal' or 'submit deviation' buttons. Is it not possible to do these with the skin applied, or am I really missing something?

yes you're really missing something..
( and if you would have read some of the comments below you would have already found it out
if you clicke the little dA logo in the top left corner of your screen, a little popup-menu will appear,
this menu contains those links you need.. just as in dAv5 with the default skin..

Since subscribers could now use their own CSS for their journals, the incoperation with your style gives some discoloration in the journal. Is there any way to fix this issue, from my side or yours?

Great job, this is so much nicer than v5. My eyes thank you.
A couple issues:
- the font in the journals and the artist's comment is still larger than the other fonts. I don't know if this is intentional or not.
- the moods box seems to be broken - it's empty and it overlaps the comment box. Personally I'd like it gone completely, but fixing it would also do.

I noticed the mood box still misbehaves from time to time, but it's definitely better than it was.
I also noticed the icon for "Profile" is wrong; and the icons for Gallery, Prints, Faves, and Journal are missing. It's the same problem in each of the Seven Deadly Skins.
Hope I'm not nitpicking too much.

Well, the bottom line is if you include a way to get rid of the mood box that'd be a reason for me to start using your skin! In case you kill the moods, would you notify me about the skin's update, please? :]

but that silly box appeared again because of the recent changes..

dA now changed the mood system - insytead of having it as a drop down menu they are almost forcing us to use them by displaying the menu dirctly next to the comment box.
The problem is that this skin (and all other skins in fact) do not load the mood menu unless the page is reloaded. Any idea on how to fix this? I so love your skin

I don't go backwards.. I just stay where I am..because going forward in this case feels like going backwards two steps at the time..
And yes.. I'm very capable of skinning damn, devition submit pages, user settings, profiles, message center and all that other shit.. but... those pages are still dAv4 pages.. and are most probably soon to be updated.. so I didn't feel like wasting my time on pages that might dissappear or beeing replaced any time soon..
The fact that they didn't manage to update everything at the same time isn't my fault/problem.
