This takes place in an alternate universe of "A Summer day's dream"
Right after the ending of episode 2, Reimu returns home, disappointed by the lack help from Remillia. She then realized that only her clan's deepest secret - The Hakurei bot, can save the day and take back her presumably empty box.
Such dark a secret that it has to be sealed away beneath the Shrine, only be reached by the hidden elevator that can be activated by standing on the Kotatsu.

And so Reimu proceeded to activate the bot, not knowing that Suika has been spying on her the whole time. The drunken Oni hasn't lost her senses when she saw Reimu sneaking into her own home.
As if an eye witness is not enough, the whole story is captured on camera and will be on the next issue of Bunbunmaru. Honestly Aya, your stealthiness is on par with Solid Snake's and Ezio's.
