Bio:
Orphaned at a young age, Ryu was adopted by a martial arts master named Gouken, who taught Ryu his Ansatsuken fighting style along with Ken Masters, who would become Ryu's rival and best friend. At age 23, Ryu finished his training with Gouken and went to enter the World Warrior Tournament, which he ended up winning. From then on, Ryu dedicated his life to martial arts, and decided to wander the earth, improving his skills, saving the world from evil, and struggling to control the Satsui no Hadou, a dark force that increases his strength, but at the cost of eating away at his humanity.

Baku Hadoken (Down-Forward-Special; Must be charged): This version can be charged up to be unleashed as an invisible ki bomb that explodes in the opponent’s vicinity a moment later, causing a wall bounce.

Shoryuken (Forward-Down-Forward-Attack): Ryu does a fierce, rising uppercut in a spiraling motion with some horizontal movement in which Ryu rockets upwards whilst performing a spinning uppercut that knocks his opponent to the ground.

Tatsumaki Senpukyaku (HCB-Attack): Ryu jumps and spins with his foot extended while flying at the opponent.

Jodan Sokuto Geri (Back-Down-Back-Attack): Ryu steps forward a short distance before delivering a powerful side kick to his opponent that may result in a wall bounce.

Hyper Combos:
Shinku Hadoken (Down-Forward-Attack X2): Ryu charges up ki between his cupped hands and fires off a Hadoken in the form of a gigantic beam of energy at the opponent. This move can be aimed straight up from the ground, and downward from the air by holding up or down during the startup of the attack, and move the beam up or down during the horizontal projectile attack or move the beam left or right during the vertical projectile attack.

Shinku Tatsumaki Senpukyaku (Down-Back-Attack X2): Ryu performs a stationary Tatsumaki that via the ki-tornado increase to have a vacuum effect, as its name indicates, and can hit the opponent multiple times.

Shin Shoryuken (Forward-Down-Forward-Attack X2): Ryu delivers a powerful Shoryuken to the opponent's mid-section, which then follows up with another equally powered strike with the alternating fist (depending on which fist was used to lead the first strike), which is then branched with the fully performed Shoryuken uppercut, but is much stronger. The first Shoryuken must connect at point-blank range near the opponent, or Ryu will simply miss and fly into the air with a normal Shoryuken.

Hado Kakusei (Down-Down-Attack X2): Executed by moving down twice, and then pressing two attack buttons, Ryu envelops himself in a bluish-white aura, and his eyes glow white. In this mode, his attack and speed are enhanced. In addition, two of Ryu's Hyper Combos are powered up in this mode. The side effect of Hado Kakusei is that it very slightly drains his vitality gauge.
