Yeah. I was bored as always. Plus, I needed to do something to occupy my mind after a long day of work.

Here, Shere Khan and Ratigan (from The Jungle Book and The Great Mouse Detective, respectively) are seen reacting in horror at the sight of Raremon, a hideous Undead Digimon who is basically Digimon's answer to Hedorah/The Smog Monster (from Godzilla).

The funny thing is that Shere Khan and Ratigan used to be tied as my #1 childhood fears...until Raremon came along in 1999. Yep. You heard that right. Raremon has surpassed both Shere Khan and Ratigan as my #1 childhood fear, making the latter two runner-ups, in this regard. You're probably surprised or not surprised, depending on your viewpoint. But it's quite obvious why Raremon is my #1 childhood fear and always will be. It's not only because of how horrifying and grotesque he looks, but also because of a certain scene from his debut appearance in the Digimon anime (which I talk about time and time again) that traumatized me and gave me PTSD as a kid. I'll just leave it at that.

I will say that if I got sprayed by the Batman villain Scarecrow's fear toxin, an image of Raremon would be the first thing I see. No fucking joke. That statement alone is proof of how nothing can surpass Raremon as my #1 childhood fear. He is pure Nightmare Fuel. The end.
