Yeah, do you like AC 3 too? Most of AC fans hated it because of many futuristic fighter jets, for me it's the best game in the series (Along with AC 5), with amazing storyline and great graphics, especially in PSX's case ;D I liked Ouroboros most, their fighter, "XFA-36A Game" is still my most beloved plane in the series (In newer games I'm using Su-47 along with it's prototype version and X-02 Wyvern, because this plane looks very similiar to "XFA-36A Game")

remember me epic moments ... also ... my 1st dogfighting game was the AC 2 ... and start to loving that game by the very 1st mission (also ... all misions who have the themes: Rising High , Day and Night and Fire Youngman)
also in AC3 i more loving the missions and the planes (only if they put more epics or badass themes in that game will be more awesome ... exept the photographer mission whit the R-101) ... Xfa-36A is really badass <3 ... also in the last missions ... also do Stratosphere and the another mision whit the SR-71 was pretty dificult (for the manuvers in high altitude) ... the Zero Gravity mission when i see the earth under me i said: "WTF!!!! D: i'm out of the earth" ....

there're 2 ac games impressed me in PSX era.
AC 2: woo~ flight game can be soooo Rock & Roll~!
AC 3: the design of the Jet can be soooo Balance ~~!
I love the design cuz it takes the balance between Realism & Sc-fi, like cover of the booket, the coffin version of SU-37, it looks like a really existed future aircraft, not a space ship or "X-wing", and the HUD design is cool too, for me, an aircraft fan, that was really a great super punch XD
besides, as you said a great complex story line, AC 3 have 5 different endings, and lots different experiences of flight, like tunnel flight, space flight ect. these made it unique from other flight shooting games

Yeah, I was also surprised that ADF-01 FALKEN makes his appearance in Ace Combat 2 already, maybe without his TLS (He only used missiles), but it was still great to see this plane ^^
Oh yes, I loved those original missions, I remember that the one where you had to deal with virus creeped me out a lot, I was so afraid of flying above those huge dishes ^^" The last battle with Dision inside the Electrosphere was amazing as well, I only didn't liked English version, they removed all characters, storyline and about half of the missions, luckily I still own my Japanese copy of the game, haha, now when I think about it, it's already 10 years old, I was still in elementary school when my father bought me this game, sweet memories... ^^

oh yes~ Geopelias battle was quite fun~ they extend the idea of using EMSI to remote control sth. ,that was a little out of blue

XD and when the hud said in gigant: HACKING!!!! .... i said: "LOL!!! i hacking a plane " ... and that mission was a bit difficult in the beging (in hard mode) to do in A ranks ... if you don't controling at all the Geopelia (but if you do ... take down the another Geopelias is fast ) ...

The explosion of the arkbird at the end of that mission was such a let down. namco should hire you!

Out of all ace combat games, this one has got to be the greatest, although I prefer the desert strike level, where you do a hell of a lot of ground support, as well as having to reserve your weapons for later in the mission.
The one where the Scinfaxi comes in is pretty cool too, where the arkbird shoots the sub with it's massive cannon.

haha. yes, that arkbird attack scene is cool: a big laser beam shot from the sky to the sea, then large explode , shockwave and heat blow up the water

indeed, was epic. I was thinking along the lines of "OH SNAP WERE ALL DEAD" though that did come with a lot more swearing, since I was doing the mission on hard mode, and was having issues with a pair of F-18s.

I kind of wish they'd remake Acecombat 5 and Acecombat zero for XBOX 360. I'd imagine the Arkbird would look twice as good. But how do you make perfect looking aircraft better?

yep.........as the first time saw it when playing AC5,
I was totally impressed by its beautiful shap and those perfect lines.
hopefully I'll redo it in 3d render if I got some free times
