Description MY 2nd entry into the Rift Contest. Done rather quickly compared to most of my work, but I actually like it better!

A Nomad runs into an Earth Colossus.

Thanks buddy! I feel its lacking something tho...or maybe its just too light. I tried getting it too feel like its really far away, plus stirring up alot of sand. Looks like I have a ways to go till I will truly be happy with my work. But this was a good experience since I didnt focus much on details but instead the depth and getting this done rather quick. I need to do more work like that and not spend a month working on something. I tend to get burnt out. The faster I can do them the quicker I will learn

yes- i have the same problem- taking always too long to finish stuff. there are so many tricks to accelerate the work flow, but i need ages to assimilate new stuff. like layer-masks and such...
anyway,we are getting quicker as we learn to use the tools.if a faster pace is needed it all burns down to an good initial sketch and some planning how to construct the image.

I might have to get the newest version on photoshop. I have CS2 now, which is kinda ancient. And my new comp doesn't like it I think. Half the time it wont load and I have to restart my comp. So if I do get the newest version I am sure there are new additions on there that I am gonna have to learn. But should definitely be fun. Hopefully it will be similar so it doesn't throw me off. What do you use?

i use cs3 . until now i come along very good with it.donΒ΄t plan on switching to the newer version yet- maybe i upgrade when i build a new pc- around september (when skyrim comes ou... )
