Description The McBrides are debuting in the DC United, in honor of the first week of Pride Month, as they are the first "modern" family to make it into the DC United. Though in the Loud House TV Show, their backgrounds aren't really there, aside from their personal hobbies and interests, in the DC United that can change.

Howard: A bit over protective, Howard loves his son and husband to death. There's nothing that he can't do to protect them. Growing up in high school, in a time where things were "difficult", he grew up with an supportive mother to guide him through the feelings that he was dealing with. Having experienced a family divorce, his mother divorced her verbally abusive husband and raised her son on her own. Howard grew up to be a fine man and father to Clyde. He also has an education in theater arts and often helps with the Royal Woods plays, even does a few parts on his own as his inspiration comes from Harold and Clyde.

Clyde: Lincoln's best friend and fellow comic book nerd, Clyde was originally born in Metropolis. Though how Clyde was raised by two fathers, it was never clear if he was adopted or not. Here in the DC United, Clyde was adopted by Harold and Howard after they were married. This never concerned Clyde, as far as he was concern, Harold and Howard were his real parents. Still crushing on Lori, Howard and Harold call in Dean Eastwood to better teach Clyde in talking to girls his age, and be the older brother that Clyde always wanted and deep down always needed. Seeing as how Dean has had younger brothers and sisters in Bobby, Ronnie Anne, CJ, Carl and Carlota, and even The Louds (mainly with Lincoln and Lucy) (as he views Lori and Luna as future sisters  in laws ) as well as having his real brother and sister in Sam and Simon, Dean was more than honored.

Harold: Born and raised in Metropolis, Harold's grandparents were members of the Civil Rights Movement, as they provided a future where their grandson would be freed of discrimination, and these values were carried onto his family. His friends consisted of Jefferson Pierce and Claire Selton (who would later be known as Black Lightning and Volcana respectively), years later Harold would attending Metropolis U, and graduating as a computer under a baseball scholarship and works as a nutritionist. After he graduated, Harold went to Royal Woods and met Howard. The two had a slow build (as most relationships do, let's be honest here) but they eventually fell in love and got married.

In the McBride household, they're still over protective, but with Dean in the picture, he's there to assure them both that Clyde is fine on his own, and he'll be fine on his own, and in the event that something goes array, Dean will watch over him. Since both Harold and Clyde hail from Metropolis, the heroes worshiped in the house is Superman, The Super Family, Black Lightning, and the now reformed villains turned heroes Volcana and Livewire. They still like Batman, but they believe nothing will top Superman.

jaredyboy In reply to NeoNimbus526 [2019-06-03 15:33:10 +0000 UTC]

Well, as previously stated, Harold is actually a former resident of Metropolis, and he and Howard adopted him from said city

jaredyboy In reply to NeoNimbus526 [2019-06-03 23:05:54 +0000 UTC]

Well, they're not actively a part of the superhero community. Have you read the story of either Marvels or Kingdom Come?

Well, in each of those stories, there is a witness to each of those stories. And that's how some of these characters work as.
