Another shot of my OC from my fan fiction (which I plan on updating very soon after a long LONG hiatus).

Now first and foremost, I did NOT redesign him heavily from the last time I updated him. If anything, I kept him looking very much the same, aside from streamlining his look into something a bit less complex. I was always happy with how the last concept turned out, so I chose not to go with the "George Lucas" method of fucking up an original idea. Zing!

I think the biggest change (if you can call it that) is that I left his hair less spiky, and it falls over his face more. I really felt that this helped bring more of his mom's looks out, while still showing the resemblance to his father (is is shown in flashback shots of a younger Asuma when he fought as a fire guardian). I think it looks more reasonable now, instead of gravity defying.

I should specify up front that I primarily chose to revisit this character again because I intend on posting a progression collage, showing my improvement in my artstyle over the years. Since Shiro was one of my first postings on this site, and I've updated his artwork every so often, its possible for me to exhibit my growth in the use of digital illustration.

Backstory: The long and short is hes the adolecent son of Asuma and Kurenai and specializes in taijutsu and iijutu (medical jutsu). I made him about 15 in this image (in the fic hes currently 13). For more backstory check out my fic at [link] .

And yes, please keep in mind I havent updated the story in a while.
