Description A dove tailed box I made and carved . It looks like pine in the picture , but it's actually bass wood . I think that's because of the linseed oil finish .It was fun to carve , but time consuming . I'm not sure which one of my books on Celtic art this came from . It was probably originally from the Book of Kells .


I don't mind if you share my pictures , but please let me know you are and link to here and don't take credit for my work . Mostly I just want to see who and where they get used . Probably an ego thing .

All I can say is..... WOW. I don't even think I could come close to this using a CNC router.

Thank you , glad you enjoy it .It would be hard to get this kind of detail with a machine .Fine furniture companies use duplication router machines that get stuff pretty close to the final product and professional carvers finish off the details .
