Description

I'm stuck in Dredd mode. Got more ideas for the sequel, actually for my fan sequel. I had to get this idea out of my head and it's about the cast. Who would be my dream cast for the Dredd sequels, they can be found in the poster. Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby will reprise their roles as Judge Dredd and Jundge Anderson, of course!

Judge Dan Francisco will be played by Idris Elba (Pacific Rim, Prometheus). He'll bring lots of presence and authority and is no stranger to science fiction. Judge Barbara Hersey would be played by Jena Malone (Hunger games: Catching fire, Sucker Punch). She has done some action roles, so I think she can do this. Malone has strong ”judge” jaw, and got some kickass attitude and spunk. In her role, she would be in service only for two years, but that is a long time for a judge to survive. Hersey enjoyes her job so much that she colored her hair in shape of a judge helmet. PSI-Judge Anton Swan (my creation) would be played by Dane DeHaan (Chronicle, Amazing Spiderman 2). DeHaan is no stranger for superhuman roles. He has these eyes, dark, brooding eyes that can convey vunerability or total hate that this role needs. In his role, he is rookie PSI-judge that has telepathy and telekinesis powers. He joins Dredd in fight against Judge Death possessed Anderson. Last but not least Council Judge Griffin, who sits in the council of five, would be played by Peter Weller (Star Trek: Into Darkness, Robocop). Hey, guy who played Robocop meets Dredd, that is all you need, and you can't tell from Weller's performance that is he playing a bad guy or a good guy. Dark judges can be played any tall guy, dubbed with creepy sounding voice actors.

In the third and last movie we'll go little bit over the top. Let's pretend we have a blank check, which we will use to expand Dredd universe a lot. At this point we know everything about Mega city one, so we need to go out and to the Cursed earth and reveal rest of the Dark judges. We'll start right after the events of my Dredd 2, Grand hall of justice is demolished and comatosed Judge Anderson is rushed to hospital. City is turning into chaos and Dredd has no time rest, he has to solve a hostage crisis in Megamarket. Meanwhile Anderson comes out of her coma as Judge Death, she kills the guards and joins forces with Judge Fear, Judge Mortis and Judge Fire. Together they attack underground bunker and kidnap Chief Judge and they fly her to the Cursed earth. Dredd comes back and finds himself in a emergency meeting with Council Judge Griffin. Griffin shows security footage of Judge Anderson and Dark judges storming Chief Judges bunker. Griffin demands that Anderson is to be punished to death and Chief Judge must be rescued from Cursed earth in two days, or he must assume power of Chief Judge and punish PSI-division for Andersons actions. Judge Hersey volunteers for the mission. Knowing how trigger happy Hersey is, Dredd wants to go with her and keep her in line. In Griffins surprise, Dredd asks one more person from PSI-division. Judge Griffin reluctantly agrees, but can't affort to give any more support, because he needs every Judge in the city until the crisis is over.

Dredd doesn't need to look further for PSI-judge, when Judge Swan comes begging to take him with them. They fly off to the Cursed earth with the VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) aircraft and follow the GPS tagged aircraft, which Dark judges stole. Dredd explain the plan to Hersey and Swan, to free Anderson from Judge Death with the help of Swan, and bringing her alive. Hersey get's mad when she figures out that Dredd was from the beginning going against Griffins orders and is all out sceptic about psychic powers. Suddenly they are shot down by Mutants. Mutants kill the pilots and Dredd, Hersey and Swan manage barely fight them off. Dredd gets wounded, but they are soon rescued by Judge Dan Francisco and two other judges, whom taken the ”Long walk”.

Meanwhile Dark judges are torturing Chief Judge to give them the universal access code.

Dredd wakes up in the ruins of Las Vegas that is turned into colony. He soon meets up with Hersey, Swan and Francisco. Francisco explains to the group how he managed to spread law to the lawless and create paradise on earth. Dredd is sceptic and says that it won't last. Dredd's group gets their act together and head to rescue Chief judge, Francisco goes with them as a guide and gives them a ride. They finally find damaged GPS tagged aircraft near railroad tunnel. Tunnel leads them in the ruins of laboratory complex, left after the Janus Project. Group finds out that the facility tried to create next generation Judges trough cloning, but failed. Four of them turned psychotic in the service of Mega city one and were sent back for rehabilition, but they turned agaist their creators and killed them all. Hersey finds out that Judge Griffin was one of the original council members that authorized the project.

They venture deeper in the facility and find armored train that is nuclear powered and armed with nuclear weapons. Soon everything turns on and train start to leave. Judges Dredd and Swan decide fast to stowaway on the train. Hersey and Francisco are left behind, but they hurry to their vehicle and chase after. Dredd and Swan find Chief Judge barely alive and unconscious Anderson hooked up with wires into somekind of decorated mech. Chief Judge explains that Dark judges have accessed the Janus project and armored train from the early days of Mega city one. They plan to wipe Mega city one by using trains nuclear missiles, because all life is crime. Chief gives Dredd her final order to stop the train and dies. Swan tries to access Andersons mind in order to free her from Judge Death and find out the cancellation code for the train. Dredd can't wait and heads to the locomotive in order to stop the whole train.

Swan finds in Andersons mind that Death has left her. Anderson knows the cansellation code, but Swan must guide Anderson back to reality. Meanwhile Francisco and Hersey are catching the train with their vehicle and Dredd is ambushed by all three Dark Judges. Judge Fear forces Dredd to watch when they fire nuclear missile into the Las Vegas colony, which they have sentenced in death. Francisco drives along side the train and Hersey manages to hop on board the train and save Dredd from the clutches of Dark judges. Swan gets Anderson back to reality, but she has only partial cancellation code, Death has the rest. She must journey inside Deaths mind to get it. Francisco witness how his colony is blown by the nuclear missile earlier. Two battle scenes ensues Dredd vs. Fear in one car and Hersey vs. Fire in another car. Fear says the famous line ”Gaze into the face of Fear” and opens vizier to kill Dredd with fear, but it has no effect on Dredd. Fear is surprised moments before Dredd hits his fist trough Fears head and says ”Gaze into the fist of Dredd”.

Hersey blows up Judge Fire by firing heat round into his gas tanks. Judge Mortis in the weapon control car sees that Mega city one is in firing range and fires barrage of missiles to it. Mega city one detects the missiles, citizens are in panic and all the city blocks lower their blast shields. Anderson gets rest of the code from Deaths sick mind. Anderson says to Swan something shocking ”Quick, Death is going...!” and mech activates and new clone of Death is revealed controlling the mech ”No, Megadeath!”. Swan and Anderson run for their life trough cars and Death bashes them to pieces in pursuit. Francisco watches in shock until groups of driving mutants join in the train chase and Dan must fight them off.

Swan and Anderson run into Dredd, who is stuck front of the locked weapon control car. Anderson knows the combination for the car and Dredd turnes his focus on battling Megadeath. Hersey is stuck behind car of fire battling the horde of mutants. Swan and Anderson get inside the weapon control car and time to missiles impact is 30 seconds. Judge Mortis ambush them and manages to drain all life from Swan before Anderson kills Mortis. Anderson types fast the cancellation code and missiles blow up 6 seconds before they hit Mega city one. Meanwhile the battle between Megadeath and Dredd has culminated in cutting the train from two places, Hersey is hanging on the ledge of a car, but Francisco saves him. Bloody Dredd watches when Megadeath rides away with the locomotive. Megadeath realises that the missiles have failed and taunt Dredd by revealing that Megadeath is also a small nuclear weapon.

In the weapon control car, Anderson watches in tears when Swan dies slowly in old age. Swan reveals that Griffin had ordered him to kill Chief Judge and Anderson, and blackmailed him to protect Griffin from PSI-division because he is corrupted and former head of the Janus project. Griffin was also unwillingly working for Death, that led to destruction of Grand justice hall. Before Swan finally dies, he tells Anderson his secret undying love towards her.

Francisco takes Dredd and Hersey on pursuit of the runaway locomotive. They realise that they have nothing big enough to destroy the locomotive. Francisco remembers that there is a old rail switch before Mega city one that switches the route into the city wall, but it can be only activated from the inside of the automated locomotive. Francisco and Hersey distract Megadeath while Dredd sneaks on board. Dredd manages to switch the track in time, but Megadeath manages to cripple Franciscos vehicle, dooming Dredds escape plan. Dredd and Megadeath fight and Judges VTOL aircraft comes to meet them. Dredd uses hot shots to melt Megadeath into the locomotives rear. VTOL drops rope to Dredd and Dredd drops a one liner ”I sentence you...oblivion!”. Dredd is lifted up and Megadeath smiles before is crushed into the reinforced wall of Mega city one and is blown into little pieces.

Cut to council of five. Judge Griffin has heard the news of Chief Judges death and initiate vote for him being the new Chief Judge. Soon Dredd, Anderson, Hersey and Francisco come to interrupt the council meeting. Griffin congratulate the group from saving the city from nuclear attack, which has scared the citizens to behave for now. Dredd tells to Anderson to tell them what she told him. Anderson explains in details what Swan told her about Griffins dublicity. Dredd fills the blanks of what would have happened if Griffin would have become the Chief judge, he would have dismantled the PSI-division and destroyed all evidence, even made sure that Dredd and Hersey were sentenced to the Iso cubes or even killed, if they ever came back. Griffin laughs and says that it's all a lie, where is the evidence. Dredd start to list Griffins crimes: crime of cloning, conspiracy to commit murder, blackmailing a PSI-judge, treason, destruction of the Grand hall of justice...

Council begins to be agitated and Griffin panics. Griffin whips out a gun and takes one of the council members as hostage. Dredd calmly list a new crime to the list: threatening a judge with a concealed weapon. Griffin list demands and yells that he can't judge him. Dredd tells his ice cold response to Griffin ”Nobody is above the law. The sentence is...life...(Dredd shots stun round into the Griffins robot eye)...in Iso cube”. Dredd tells Hersey to book him. Council praise Dredd and remind him that one seat is free. Dredd refuse from the honor and ask them to take Francisco instead, because Dredd has seen the results.

Anderson and Dredd walk outside to the long hallway. Anderson is surprised that Dredd didn't sentence Judge Griffin to death. Dredd tells to Anderson that he's trying out something new and forbid her to tell anyone.
