whatever this RPG setting is, its very nebulous at this moment. but i have ideas for the looks of units and mechs. more to come.
Grunt Armor (foreground along the bottom): this is a mini mech, almost 3 meters tall. used by any infantry on the battlefield. they are lightly armored, with the artificial muscle covered by some tight cloth like covering. The soldier is in a "backpack" like cockpit on the back of the grunt armor. True to their name, waves of soldiers are put in these cheap machines and often sent recklessly in warfare.
battlefield tech (hanging off the mechs arm): this technician has to rely on a rotor hover pack to be able to reach the damage on a mech.
Heavy armored mech design notes: i haven't drawn many skirts on mechs, and so this is part practice. all the joints have a tight cloth like covering to keep grime off the artificial muscle underneath. the cockpit of the mech is in the abdomen and is a reinforced ball. i like how the laser effect came out, and how the laser gun itself has a type of adjustable telescopic lens.
