I was fortunate enough to get to talk with a geisha during my trip to fukuoka. I'm the tall white kid in the middle(incase anyone was confused) on my left is a samisen player (she told me her name but its only written kanji and i can't read :/ ) on my right is sakurako-san a fukuoka geisha ( she was really young probably early 20's)Related content

You're so lucky! One of my biggest dreams is to even catch a glimpse of either a Geisha or Maiko..I know I would never be able to afford to actually be in the COMPANY of one..or both..But...to even get a glimpse would just be satisfying enough.

(i couldn't afford it either) i honestly feel the same, just to see one would make my life(actually made my life) what happend to let me be able to do this, Β is my host mom called a geisha restaurant and explained that i'm a dorky white kid that loves geisha, and the restaurant owner said we could come in before a show and meet the geisha for a little bit(so luck and its all about you knows who) I hope you get to meet one one day too

That..is just..so unfair..I'm a dorky American whom loves Geisha.....WHEN WILL I GET MY CHANCE....Well good on those connections and your host mother..truly awesome experience.
