Well Disney is making an new live action of lion king telling the history of Mufasa and Scar, hope they show how Scar got his scar and that have at least blood or something else, it would be more action and yeah

I think yes, in this picture his right eye is injured, "thanks" to quality of the image it's not seen well. But he has blood inside that eye already. The left eye is ok, because scar is going above it.
