Not sure if this is a regular "artist thing", but if I had a dime for every time the end product looked nothing like the initial concept, I'd have...some dimes. Like, a bunch maybe.

This is a monogram I idly started making out of my friend's initials while we were talking about the subject, and he expressed a liking for it and an interest in seeing it further developed into one he can use professionally. I knew he liked dragons, so that was always in the back of my mind while moving pieces around, but I thought I wouldn't be able to make it work. After several repeated attempts, I was very surprised when it finally just fell into place . I also exaggerated line thickness and shape proportions because I knew it might end up very small (which it did, used as his Youtube channel icon).

I still really like the first, more conventional letter font one.
