Well not this Cake haha.School's back, takin' all my time, so I can't comment or reply or anything like that really. (I actually shouldn't be on here now!) But I figured, why not show some school work? So here we go, my first sketchbook assignment.
Reference used from a picture I took of Cake, my late goldfish. Done in watercolors.
Colors are all screwed up... D: It doesn't look as good as it does in real life. But that's what they always say, so.
I think this looks pretty good for not having any experience in these paints. (: But I'd very much appreciate critique if you have any to give!

very very very AWESEOME colors. I love how the left fin sort of faids into the white background.
the proportions are almost perfect! id say it would be perfect, but im not a pro or anything, so i cant say that..... i would give this a 9.95/10 ^^ what happend to the .05 you say?..... i actually dont know. i think it ran away ><;;;;

holy shit holy shit this is amazing; i am loving that minimalistic feel of this and the colors are so richhh (mmm blues and oranges)
I would maybe suggest more white space? I feel like the goldfish is taking up too much room on the canvas, it's like...not quite minimalist and not quite idk :C

Awww, thanks! <3 I think it's.. muted more in real life, because I upped the saturation in photoshop. So it looks strange to me, but that's nice that you think it's good haha. :D
Ahhh yes! I'm totally thinking that too haha! It looks really nice on my big sheet of white paper, like it's swimming in the whiteness kinda? But my mind is still set on 'my monitor is big, my drawings should be smaller' sorta thing, so I took most of it off. I'll upload a spacier version, and see how that works.
