It was suppose to be a sketch at first, but I had too much fun painting in all the little details and whatnot. A few hours work while watching the series.

That's simply the best drawing/painting of Anakin I have ever seen. 10/10. The style, colours, composition, precision and photographic resemblance together with the traditional style of HQ paintings... just awesome.

The best thing about SW:TCW is they gave the clones a more human and approachable side, that they weren't the mindless drones the movies portrayed them as. It also portrayed Anakin as more per everyone's story of him; a noble hero that tragically fell instead of the angsty emo they gave us in the Prequels.Β

I really don't blame Hayden though; he may not have been the best actor for the job, but he made the best of some really mediocre dialogue (Lucas makes a good story, he just can't write a script worth shit.)

I was a bit hesitant about checking out the Clone Wars series when they started airing, mainly because of the horrifying Clone Wars movie, I needed some good old brain bleaching after that, but goddamn the series grew on me, and what they did was that they made me actually -like- Anakin, I never liked the whiny version of him in the films, I blame Hayden Christensen, I really don't like that actor D: but goddamn, Clone Wars-Anakin and movie-Anakin, two completely different characters, one is more confident and the other one a whiny bitch, pardon my french. And judging from your work right here, you really got his personality there, this is the guy I can actually imagine transform into Vader in the end of episode 3, instead of that other douchebag I shall not name.

I agree. I didn't like Anakin's character in the prequel movies. He was just... ugh. But Anakin in the Clone Wars as a great character, which is why I wanted to draw him.
