Colress from Pokemon Black/White 2.
One of my favourite characters from that game for some reason. I dunno why, maybe because of his odd science fashion taste.

I swear, this is the best work I've seen yet of Colress. By far my favorite Pokemon character and my favorite scientist. He was never evil, he just wanted to do his research. I think of him as a purely good person of Team Plasma.

You captured Colress rather well. It looks like he's ready to battle and that he's already predicted the outcome. He's an interesting character in that even though he's part of Plasma he's not bad, he just wants to find out about the bond trainers share and as such that makes him like the Pokemon researchers. He also has a kick ass battle theme as well. Nice use of the muted and pastel colours to give it a very purposeful theme of a battle. Nice work.

As Nintendo villain designed with the classic weird hair, he mostly reminds me of someone from Megaman, but you seem to have captured who he was designed after, RE's Albert Wesker. Sometimes people don't appear like they really are but you went and did it no the less. Great job.

I found Colress to be an intriguing character to say the least. You caught his indifferent mystery rather well.

My cousin told me how she thought that "Colress was disappointing as a bad guy".
But I disagree.
Because to me, Colress isn't a bad guy at all. He's an amoral character whose decisions aren't based on what people generally consider as "good" or "evil". Instead, he helps out both Team Plasma and the player in order to bring out "the entirety in Pokémon potential". He wants to see just how far the bonds between pokemon and people can take them and to do that, he doesn't care about the consequences "If it means the strength must be brought out by the interactions between Pokémon and Trainers, then so be it! If it means you have to use a merciless approach, like Team Plasma's, and force out all of the Pokémon's power, then so be it! And yes, if the entire world is destroyed as a result, then so be it..."
While that part of the game got me quite annoyed at his seeming lack of sympathy towards all those who are suffering because of Team Plasma, I thought "All right, you're the curious scientist type without a moral, I get it. If you want your answer, fine, you'll get it as a freebie when I beat you and the rest of your organization!"
After the battle, Colress asks if the player is "thinking of reaching even higher heights by understanding each other as Pokémon and Trainer". Naturally, I answered yes. And if you pick yes, Colress says
"I see... To me, that is an ideal answer. To think! That's what you actually believe! You bring out the power of your Pokémon with respect and love!"
Given how he views THAT as an ideal answer, can you really call him evil? While his ruthless methods clearly show that he isn't exactly one of the "good guys", I'd say it's obvious that he supports your way more than Team Plasma's. But like all good, neutral scientists (neutral until the results have arrived, that is) he finishes with "To me, whether Team Plasma wins or whether you win will decide how the relationship between people and Pokémon should be! So where will this be settled? Step on the warp panel on the other side of the room where Kyurem is being held. Good luck in your battle!.
Game Freak obviously wanted to give us something of a "neutral opponent" (if Hugh is considered as an ally with a friendly rivalry towards you while Ghetsis is a pure antagonist) and I'd say they pulled that off pretty damn well. Colress is -like his name implies- "colourless" when it comes to his morals but certainly not when it comes to him as a character. He and his motives are somewhat surrounded in mystery for the majority of the game as he's helping you out while clearly donning the Plasma colours. This makes him an interesting and fresh character type for this aged franchise. He's got a sleek character design (although I have to be honest here, that blue hair spiral is downright wacky and makes absolutely no sense, even by Japanese pop culture standards) and a great battle theme. And on top of it all, he gives you a second master ball post game if you beat him at the P2 laboratory. And everyone LOVES master balls, right?
Now, Colress' anime counterpart is nothing short of a cliché. While I haven't been able to watch the episode N arc properly since it hasn't been dubbed yet, I've seen enough clips, summaries and episode pictures to know that the anime Colress is nothing but a mad scientist archetype. His favourite past time activities include: following Ghetsis' orders with an unwavering loyalty, building mind control machines and using them on pokemon, getting fascinated at Pikachu’s bond between Ash as it allows the small pokemon to break free from the mind control. Rinse and repeat. No originality, no effort, no interesting personal motives whatsoever. Needless to say, I wasn’t happy about this solution at all. It’s like he’s one of those evil Team Rocket scientists from the first two generations, only with a different outfit.
Sorry about the long personal comment 
That said, the pros –the atmosphere, the colours, the feeling of movement- FAR outweigh the cons. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is the best Colress fanart I’ve seen so far.

Colress was the best character in B/W 2. He also had the best battle theme. Honestly, I hope to see him again in X/Y, even if the chances are low.
