Description Tried coloring without using any lineart; and failed. I liked the concept though so I decided to do what I could with it -- so it's very sketchy.

This is very depressing now that I think about it. I'm sorry!

I actually blew off starting a presentation (it's due in 2 weeks, don't worry <-- I tell myself) to draw this since I didn't think it'd take that long. Boy was I wrong.

Anyway, in order to make sure I actually get things done this may be my last deviation for hmm....until my presentation is over. It's gonna be agonizing. But, I'm still gonna be sketching things in my sketchbook.

And the thing is, he was intended to be the winner by the author but had to kill him off because "he knew too much!" Like, wow!

I really like what you did with this picture! It had a really nice dark theme that fits Deathnote well, and his eyes really look like Near to me.

About his eyes, I don't really think it looks exactly like his. He is described and drawn with what the artist/author calls: big "panda eyes". Although in some moments he has narrower/smaller eyes.

I think they look like his eyes, because as narrow eyes in the image, they are still wider, and would probably be panda eyes if opened the rest of the way. For having the narrow, serious eyes, it fits correctly in my mind.

Ah. Alright then. I understand your point of view. Haha~...I guess it fits the theme of this image. If I drew him with bigger eyes he'd just look too cutesy.
